About AAR Cornhole

AAR Cornhole offers one of the clearest lineups in competitive cornhole, with distinct carpet, hybrid and all-slick bags so players can choose exactly the feel they want. AAR also produces team bags for ACL Pro teams, and its ACL Pro and ACL Comp stamped series cover everyone from league regulars to top-level competitors.

Choose Your Feel

Herringbone carpet: maximum control

• Shockwave-X (4.5/9, ACL Pro): a medium-speed herringbone carpet side with a mixed fill that rolls and cuts easily, plus a slick fast side for hole-seeking slides. The original Shockwave is also available.

Hybrid carpet: control with pace

• Ripper (6/9, ACL Pro): a medium-fast hybrid carpet bag built for aggressive slides, deep hole shots, pushes, cuts and rolls. Ripper-X and Ripper-Z build on the same platform with their own variations.

All-slick: pure speed

• Livewire (6/9, ACL Pro): no carpet materials at all, with a flat resin fill that keeps throws true. A go-to when boards turn sticky or humid.

More from AAR

• ACL Pro: Aftershock, Aftershock-X, Phantom, Phantom-X and Vandal
• ACL Comp: Blitz and Gametime, approved options at a lower price for leagues and locals

Speeds are AAR's approximate ratings. Each listing shows the exact series, speed and stamp for that set.

Which AAR Bag Fits Your Game?

• You block, cut and roll: Shockwave-X
• You want one aggressive all-around bag: Ripper
• Your boards play slow or sticky: Livewire
• You play leagues and want value: Blitz or Gametime

Important: Breaking In Ripper

Don't use heat to break in Ripper bags. AAR warns that heat can shrink them and cause them to fail inspection at ACL events. Regular throwing is the recommended break-in method, so plan a few practice sessions before you compete.

ACL Approval

ACL Pro stamped bags are approved for all ACL play, including the Pro division. ACL Comp stamped bags are approved for sanctioned play outside the Pro division. Stamps are tied to a season, so confirm the stamp on the listing matches your event's current rules.

AAR Cornhole FAQs

What's the difference between Ripper and Shockwave-X?
Ripper uses a hybrid carpet at 6/9 for a faster, more aggressive game. Shockwave-X uses a slower 4.5 herringbone carpet for more control on blocks, cuts and rolls.

Which AAR bag has no carpet?
Livewire. It's an all-slick bag built for a consistent speed game.

Can I heat-treat Ripper bags?
No. AAR says heat can shrink Ripper bags and cause them to fail ACL inspection. Break them in by throwing.

How many bags are in a set?
Four. A full game uses eight bags, so buy two sets in contrasting designs.
