Shop All Cornhole Bags
Compare cornhole bags for backyard games, league play, competitive practice, tournaments, gifts and custom projects. This collection brings together recreational bags, professional and tournament bags, organization-specific equipment, carpet and hybrid bags, personalized designs and graphic bag sets from multiple manufacturers.
No single cornhole bag is best for every player. The right choice depends on your experience level, throwing style, preferred level of control, typical board conditions, fabric, fill, set quantity and whether the bags must satisfy the requirements of a particular competition organization.
Not sure where to begin? Read our guide to the best cornhole bags for different players and playing styles, or use the sections below to narrow the collection.
Choose Cornhole Bags by How You Play
Recreational Cornhole Bags
Recreational bags are intended primarily for backyard games, tailgates, camping, parties and casual family play. They may use duck cloth, synthetic fabrics, resin pellets, traditional corn fill or an approachable dual-sided construction.
Choose recreational bags when value, straightforward play and a complete game-ready setup matter more than specialized fabrics or one organization’s approval requirements.
Browse recreational cornhole bags for casual and backyard play.
Professional and Tournament Cornhole Bags
Professional and tournament-style bags commonly use two different playing surfaces. One side may provide more control for blocks and placement, while the other may move more freely for slides, pushes and cleanup shots.
The words “professional,” “pro” and “tournament” describe product positioning or construction. They do not automatically mean that a bag is approved by the ACL, ACO, World Series of Cornhole or American Cornhole Association.
Compare professional and tournament cornhole bags by manufacturer, series, fabric, speed and playing style.
ACL Cornhole Bags
Players entering American Cornhole League events should confirm the exact manufacturer, series, equipment designation and current event requirements. The official ACL bags and equipment guidelines distinguish among ACL Pro, ACL Comp and recreational equipment.
A manufacturer may sell several bag series, and not every series necessarily carries the same ACL designation. Prior-season stamps should not automatically be treated as current eligibility.
Shop ACL-approved cornhole bags when an ACL equipment designation is part of your purchasing decision.
ACO Cornhole Bags
The American Cornhole Organization maintains separate equipment specifications and approval procedures. The official ACO rules address bag fill, measurements, weight, markings, condition and event inspection.
ACO approval belongs to the exact manufacturer and series. It should not be inferred from a brand name, general regulation-size wording or approval through another organization.
Browse ACO-approved cornhole bags when current ACO status matters.
World Series of Cornhole Bags
The World Series of Cornhole publishes its own bag specifications and event rules. Its official WSOC rules address finished dimensions, weight, fill and matching four-bag sets.
Players should also confirm which bag is designated or permitted for the specific WSOC event they plan to enter.
Compare WSOC cornhole bags for current available options.
American Cornhole Association Bags
The American Cornhole Association publishes independent regulation-bag specifications. Its official ACA regulation-bag guide addresses size, thickness, weight and permitted fill.
An ACA regulation product should be evaluated under ACA standards rather than assumed to carry ACL, ACO or WSOC approval.
Custom Cornhole Bags
Custom bags may feature photographs, business logos, wedding artwork, family names, monograms, event branding or original designs.
Before ordering, confirm:
- Whether the listing includes four or eight bags
- The underlying bag manufacturer and series
- Fast- and slow-side materials
- Fill and manufacturer-reported speed ratings
- Artwork requirements
- Proof and revision process
- Production time
- Personalized-product restrictions
- Competition status, when applicable
Read our custom cornhole bags buying guide before submitting artwork, or browse the current custom cornhole bag collection.
Carpet and Hybrid Cornhole Bags
Some performance-oriented bags use a carpet, herringbone or hybrid fabric on the slower side. These materials may appeal to players who throw blocks, cuts, rolls and other specialty shots.
“Carpet” is a broad category rather than one standardized material. Two carpet bags may feel and perform differently because of their weave, fullness, fill, flexibility, break-in and board conditions.
Graphic, Patriotic and Novelty Bags
Graphic bags allow players to choose patriotic artwork, slogans, team-inspired colors and other visual designs. Construction varies across manufacturers and product families.
Do not assume that artwork, price or a professional-looking design establishes league approval. Review the individual listing for fabric, fill, size, weight, set quantity and organization status.
Cornhole Bag Categories Compared
| Bag category | Best for | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Recreational | Backyards, parties, camping and tailgates | Quantity, fill, care instructions and board compatibility |
| Professional or tournament-style | League practice and experienced players | Fabrics, speed source, fill and organization status |
| ACL | Applicable ACL-sanctioned competition | Exact series, stamp, designation and current eligibility |
| ACO | Applicable ACO competition | Exact manufacturer, series and current approval |
| WSOC | WSOC practice and events | Published specifications and event-designated equipment |
| ACA regulation | ACA-oriented regulation play | Size, weight, fill and event requirements |
| Custom | Weddings, businesses, gifts and events | Artwork, proof, construction, quantity and approval status |
| Carpet or hybrid | Control and specialty-shot players | Exact fabric, fill, flexibility and speed rating source |
How to Choose the Right Cornhole Bags
1. Start With Your Intended Use
- Backyard and family games: Choose recreational bags or an eight-bag game-ready set.
- League practice: Consider dual-sided performance bags with clearly documented fabrics.
- Organized competition: Verify the exact equipment required by the organization and event.
- Weddings, businesses and gifts: Choose a custom product with a documented proof process.
- Blocks, cuts and rolls: Consider carpet, herringbone or hybrid slow-side fabrics.
2. Compare Both Playing Sides
Many performance bags provide two different surfaces:
- A slower or more controllable side
- A faster side intended to slide more freely
The control side may help with blocks, cuts and placement. The faster side may help with slides, pushes and cleanup shots. The ideal combination depends on your release and the boards on which you normally play.
3. Treat Speed Ratings as Manufacturer-Specific
Cornhole bag speed ratings are not governed by one universal industry scale. A rating of 8 from one manufacturer should not automatically be treated as identical to an 8 from another.
Perceived speed can change because of:
- Board finish
- Humidity and temperature
- Fabric type and batch
- Bag break-in and wear
- Dust or residue
- Throwing angle and rotation
Product pages should identify whether a rating comes from the manufacturer, CornholeBags.com editorial classification or customer feedback.
4. Confirm Size, Weight and Quantity
Many full-size bags are designed around the familiar 6-inch, approximately one-pound format, but permitted tolerances differ among organizations. Travel, miniature and children’s bags may be intentionally smaller.
Use our guide to cornhole bag size, weight and set quantity to compare ACL, ACO, WSOC and ACA standards.
5. Review Fabric and Fill
Depending on the product, cornhole bags may use:
- Duck cloth
- Microsuede
- Synthetic slide fabrics
- Carpet or herringbone materials
- Hybrid textiles
- Plastic resin or beads
- Traditional corn fill
- Another manufacturer-specified fill
Resin fill does not automatically mean a bag is universally approved, waterproof or machine washable. Fabric, care and competition claims must be verified separately.
6. Consider the Boards and Conditions
A bag that feels controllable on one board may play faster or slower on another. Newly finished boards, worn surfaces, humidity, temperature and cleanliness can all affect movement.
Players who regularly encounter different venues may benefit from owning two complementary bag sets rather than expecting one series to perform identically in every condition.
How Many Cornhole Bags Do You Need?
A conventional game uses eight bags: four matching bags for each player or team.
- Choose four bags when purchasing one player’s competitive series, replacing one team set or practicing alone.
- Choose eight bags when you need a complete backyard game with two contrasting groups of four.
- Choose multiple sets when preparing for different board conditions or maintaining backup equipment.
Always confirm the listed quantity. Product images may show more bags, boards or accessories than the purchase actually includes.
League Approval, Regulation Size and Professional Construction Are Different
- Regulation size: Describes stated physical measurements.
- Professional or performance-oriented: Describes construction or product positioning.
- ACL designated: Indicates the applicable ACL equipment classification for the exact series.
- ACO approved: Indicates approval or acceptance under applicable ACO requirements.
- WSOC eligible: Depends on WSOC specifications and the applicable event.
- ACA regulation: Indicates compliance with applicable ACA specifications.
A bag may meet a dimensional standard without qualifying for every competition organization. Approval through one organization does not automatically establish approval through the others.
Cornhole Bag Care and Replacement
Store bags clean and completely dry. Follow the exact manufacturer’s instructions before washing, soaking, heating or treating a bag.
Replace a bag or set when:
- A structural seam has opened
- Fill is leaking
- The playing fabric has torn through
- The bag no longer matches the rest of the set
- Required manufacturer or series markings are unreadable
- Mold, contamination or persistent odor is present
- The bag has been altered and competition eligibility matters
